Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Terry C — 19 Aug 2011
This familiar plotline is brought to life by strong performances by the two leads. Their portrayals captivated me to the point that I was wincing at some of the decisions their characters made. Jeff Bridges owns this movie from the first scene.
M. Gyllenhall is great in this, too, and Colin Farrell is strong in a small role. And for me, not being a country music guy, I have to say I thought the music in this was pretty good. Overall a satisfying watch.
