Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Jean S — 12 Dec 2010

Jeff Bridges pours his heart into this performance. The plot has kind of being explored in different ways lately (The Wrestler, among other examples), but it is well developed. The music is great and the lyrics are very meaningful and excellent.

I didn't like the direction at the musical performances because it didn't feel natural, it was more like a music video. Also, Colin Farrell didn't convince me that much as a country singer, his acting was good, but I think they should have gotten a less know actor for that role.

"Crazy Heart" is as honest and raw as music should be.
