Plot: A washed up country music star looks for redemption after he starts a relationship with a journalist.

I enjoyed it. Jeff Bridges really deserved that Oscar he won for his performance. He's outstanding in this. This is probably his best role since The Big Lebowski. He brings so much to all the characters he plays. I loved Maggie Gyllenhaal's performance. I know a lot of people don't like her due to reports of her attitude on set and that people don't think she's very attractive, but I don't know, there's just something about her that I love. The movie has a great supporting cast including Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall. But I would have to say Farrell's American accent got on my nerves a little. The only real problem I have with the movie is that at times it's a little slow, but other than that I found it to be a good movie.
