Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Jo B — 31 Jan 2011
A film that deals with a musician at his twilight years, 'Crazy Heart' is able to shine with a very strong performance from Jeff Bridges. His is a character who goes through a dramatic changes as the movie progresses, going from a man who is broken and world weary, to one who is able to piece himself together.
It doesn't follow the kind of tropes usually associated with most music/bio-pics, because the movie seems more grounded in reality, a reality that any of us can go through even if we never had the rockstar life.
