Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Conrad K — 30 Mar 2011
The unpretentious, solid, relaxed story of Bad - a broken country singer with a "little gas still left in the can". The story is lent some gravitas by some wonderful photography of the stunning scenery deep in the crazy heart of the American mid-west.
Jeff Bridges is, of course, brilliant - he can put more charm, anger, resignation and love into a single silent draw on a cigarette than lesser actors manage in an entire film. All hail the dude.
