Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Makayla L — 20 Jun 2011

This movie boils down to three things, Jeff Bridges performance, the realistic feel of the movie, and the story that doesn't go along like a Hollywood story, as much as a real life story. And that alone, brings this movie to the top of most crap out there. I haven't seen all the other best actor performances for that year, but his is definitely a great one.

My real criticism here is small. It's that the relationship story just seems too oddly thrown in. It doesn't have a great set-up or follow-through but has nice closure. I think it was too convenient for a movie that was all about struggle. But it is a good story made that much better by Bridges. Go CLU!
