Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by David B — 11 Oct 2011
Like 'Walk the Line', there's almost nothing original about this tale of rock star excess and redemption... but with such great and heartfelt acting from all involved (especially Jeff Bridges who, since The Big Lebowski, seems only to get better with age), originality becomes less important; and the fantastic music (and lyrics) disproves my theory that all modern country music sucks hillbilly ass.
