Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Jonathan P — 04 Jun 2013

First off Jeff Bridges is amazing (though I felt like I was watching Rooster Cogburn transported to current times a little bit). The problem I have with Crazy Heart is the that the slow pacing and depressing story just never was able to grab me.

I wanted to sympathize with Bad Blake but he was so selfish (and for no real good reason) that he was hard to like. Movie snobs will love it while your average movie goer might enjoy it but not as much as the beloved critics.
