Review of Crazy/Beautiful (2001) by Royce M — 03 Feb 2010
This isn't about two people falling in love at such a young age, it's more than that.
It's being together despite the odds, it's about finding each other. Despite people being against the relationship they continue to show their love for each other.
Carlos has his head screwed on properly he knows where he wants to go in life and he works hard to get there meanwhile you've got Nicole an out of control teenager, a spoilt brat and more importantly going no where fast.
You put these two together and it's a diabolical clash. Like putting grass as your carpet in your home. Hypothetically it is pathetic but it was just a situation where I was showing that it doesn't work at all. But somehow and I mean somehow these two make it work, Carlos sacrificing what he has in terms of where he wants to be in life and Nicole with her relationship with her parents to be together and it's sweet. It's not the best romantic drama I've watched but I mean you can put it damn well near the top.
It's not Romeo and Juliet but Carlos and Nicole has made their own love story.
