Review of Crazy/Beautiful (2001) by Zack S — 03 Sep 2010
I think what won me over was the believable and amazing performances from Kirsten Dunst and Jay Hernandez, their chemistry is wonderful. Though the story isn't anything new there's hardly any clichés which is surprising because most movies in this genre usually have the same clichés.
The other performances from the rest of the cast were great and the script was great. I don't have any more complaints about the movie because it's very realistic and true. It's not just about two teenagers falling in love its more than that, and this movie explores it so well.
Not only will it capture the hearts of teenagers but it will capture the hearts of everyone except kids under the age of 13 they might not understand this. But, Overall a very moving and touching romantic film that doesn't have this genre's usual clichés 3.
5/4 stars.
