Review of Crazy (2000) by Maxwell D — 21 Dec 2007
Decent Quebecois coming-of-age dramady. I'll warn you now, the marketing overplays the comedy angle considerably; the interpersonal drama is well out in the forefront. That aside, it's quite well done, though not without its annoyances; in particular, it suffers from character excess, with some apparently noteworthy characters (most notably three of the protagonist's brothers) just sort of being there, undeveloped.
Beyond that, it's fairly well written and easy to get into, with the characters who are developed easy to empathise with.
