Review of Crazy (2000) by Vj N — 16 Dec 2008
I just saw this film and was very impressed with it's unique story telling. It took me on quite a journey in this family's lives. The music was great and timely. Very thought provoking and more realistic when dealing with complex character relationship issues of discovering ones sexuality and how a family deals with it over the years. Al be it there are some fantastic moments of imagination or dream sequences.
There is also a message of family, love and faith. I liked how the director did not blanket Christianity as a condemning one sided entity and made the focused more on the people with faith vs the religion.
Truly a non traditional holiday film, but a film that is more truthful to the holiday spirit.
