Review of Crayfish (2010) by Chris Z — 05 Jun 2010
Interesting, well-intentioned story of two best friends who both secretly get sucked into a mafia job not realizing they are on opposing sides, which ends with deadly consequences. Wacky, I could follow the major plot of the film, but some of the other random stuff was strange and disorienting.
Well-shot though, intriguing, but compared to the other Bulgarian film in SIFF "Eastern Plays" (which was exceptional!!!), this left me unsatisfied. Also, we all struggled to stay awake through this movie, as did several other audience members apparently whose snoring we could clearly hear.
