Review of Crawl (2011) by Tim M — 12 Apr 2013
A thriller centered around a double cross, which reminded me alot of the Coen Brothers classic 'Blood Simple'. A bar owner/drug dealer hires a Crotian cowboy to whack somebody who owes him money.
A weak plot with so many holes in it and there are no answers or motives for anything that happens after the hit. Director Paul China does create plenty of tension and suspension but when it matters he doesn't deliever.
George Shevtson is excellent as the shady bar owner Slim Walding and a nice twitch off Georgina Haig.
