Review of Crank: High Voltage (2009) by Maria V — 21 Aug 2010

A pretty fun and exhilerating ride...but definitely not as good as the ingenius original. The makings were all there for a spectacular piece of balls-to-the-wall action cinema (Stathom brilliant as always, a fanstastic supporting cast and music by Mike Patton!), but for some reason it just didn't eventuate.

Still a very entertaining 90-minutes of mindless mayhem (plus, extra fun lies in spotting the numerous cameos), just don't believe the hype. I've got fingers crossed that the third installment proves to be as 'insane' as this one was supposed to be.
