Review of Crank: High Voltage (2009) by Line R — 12 Sep 2010
I dig Jason Statham and I remember having a good time with the first movie. This one, on the other hand, was an exercise in patience. The directorsâ?? style is over the top, and the movie turned out to be a clusterfuck of images and words (DT nugget!).
The action scenes have no sense of direction and equate to just random images. Iâ??m not sure how you can present a nude woman in such an ugly way, but the directors here found out. Does any of this really pass as entertainment? Thereâ??s a villain by the name of The Ferret.
When first discussed, weâ??re shown a short clip of a ferret and his nuts. Is that amusing? Really? Okay, letâ??s try this on for size: fuck this movie. You know a movie sucks when I pity everyone involved.
Maybe I shouldnâ??t. I mean, everyone has to earn a living, right? Iâ??ve got a better tile for this POS. Crank: No Shame. Iâ??ve devolved into rambling again. Just fuck this movie and get it out of my face.
