Crank 2: High Voltage may deserve a higher score than 3/5, but with the stupid metal-heart plotline, coupled with Neveldine and Taylor's decision to not change the Crank formula one iota, you end up with a film that feels like a mere photocopy of the first.

Jason Statham still gives it his all at Chev Chelios, but honestly, the end of the first Crank felt like the right sendoff for the character. The one thing that I truly enjoyed about this film was David Carradine's cameo as Poon Dong.

Other than that, this could be the leading candidate in the definition of "unnecessary sequels". And yes, Chelios and his girlfriend have public sex again.
