Review of Crank: High Voltage (2009) by Sheridan P — 24 Sep 2011
The cinematography seemed like they were filming while rolling down a hill, but still done uniquely well.
The acting was horrible by everyone except Jason Statham and Amy Smart and all the dialogue was horrendous, with the most ludicrous one liners and constant swearing.
The story was better than the first, which isn't saying much. It was so confusing at times I felt like I was watching a new Japanese Godzilla film with the pop up words and all.
This movie kept me interested and slightly entertained even though almost all of the things he did were utter nonsense. He would have either been killed or nothing would have happened to him, do they know anything about electricity or do they just assume all Americans are idiots.
Would I suggest this one, well, no, not really. It was OK but like the first one, this could have been so much better. At least get actors who can the language of the film. If you are looking for nothing but action you found one here. otherwise skip it.
2 nominations.
