Crazy and violent and excessive and great! Crank contains the ultimate of all action movie plots: getting as much done as soon as you can 'cause your gonna be dead very soon! It's a beautiful idea, and one that was well done if you ask me.
Chev Chelios should have been an iconic character for all action movie-dom. He was the epitome of what a dying man can do with the will power and sheer stubborn determination. You know exactly what the movie is leading up to within a couple minutes in.
The fun part is holding on and seeing HOW it ultimately does get to that point. The soundtrack is fitting and energetic as well. But the style is what should be remembered the most from this movie. Innovative camera angles and clever visuals make this movie dazzling and oh-so-satisfying!
