Review of Crank (2006) by Floyie H — 12 Apr 2012
I'm starting to wonder if Stratham is going to stick to the purely unbelievable, for the rest of his career.
With that being said, I actually liked this one. Even though the plot was really weak and pretty much everything that happens, from beginning to end, is completely unfathomable there is still a lot of value in this film.
First, the director was smart enough not to make the mistake of only putting a few completely ridiculous scenes, but revolving the entire film around dozens of them. This gave me the sense of, "ok, so this isn't gonna be remotely realistic, lets see what you can throw at me," which became fairly entertaining after a while. One thing that I did really like about this movie was the way the director tried to bring you into the main characters body with the visual effects.
Overall, the ass-kicking and visual effects made this a worthwhile film.
