Review of Crank (2006) by Iven S — 23 Oct 2013

So you want to see an action movie do ya?!... well here it is, sex, drugs, violence, a car chase and even a helicopter fight scene...its sounds so familiar doesn't it then why does this movie feel so damn new and fresh? Well for one thing it has an interesting premise, a good lead actor and two directors that are willing to get into the thick of the action so this movie constantly feels like your in a rush.

THATS what a good action movie is suppose to do and I'd say that its charged with testoserone and then some. I take off a star because we do head into "fantasyland" territory here (especially the end) but who wants reality to get in the way of a good action scene .

..hell we have done that a million times in the past... I just get a sense that you notice it here a bit more because the action is so in your face (the directorial style folks!!) that when it gets a bit unreal the alarm bells start to sound.

Definitely the one to watch with some popcorn and a beer.
