Review of Craigslist Joe (2012) by Seth Y — 01 Feb 2013
"Craigslist Joe" follows 29-year old Joseph Garner as he journeys across America for 30 days, relying strictly on Craigslist for his survival. Through this documentary, you get to see the variety of different people he encounters on the way and how he manages to get from place to place.
Although this film is obviously edited quite heavily (30 days in an hour and a half), you do feel like you are experiencing what is going on. This movie shows that there are still great people out there, willing to help other members of the human race.
My only gripe was that things seemed to go too smoothly for Garner, as the viewer really doesn't experience any sense of struggle along the way. That being said, this is still a very inspiring and well made film.
4 stars.
