Review of Craigslist Joe (2012) by Patrick D — 09 Apr 2014

I really liked Craigslist Joe. I can't quite understand why the critics' reviews were so harsh. Granted, the experience Joe had during his travels was his alone. Joe is a good-natured, very good-looking, young white man with an education.

And, everyone who comes to his aid gets to be in a movie. So, when you take all of that into consideration, it's obvious this documentary isn't about a highly scientific experiment. It's one man's experience.

Perhaps if Joe had inserted a disclaimer at the beginning, saying,"results not typical - individual results may vary", like they do for weight loss supplements, the critics would not have been so harsh.

Honestly, what were they expecting? Anyway, I liked Joe instantly and I found myself wishing I could have met him during his travels. There was never a dull moment for me, and I was thoroughly entertained, and inspired to think about being a bit more adventurous.
