Review of Cradle Will Rock (1999) by Paul G — 26 Jan 2008
I am consistently impressed and entertained by this little-seen, surprisingly even-handed Tim Robbins flick about FDR's Federal Theatre Project. It has the mother of all ensemble casts, but particularly great and funny are Angus McFadyen as Orson Welles, Cary Elwes as John Housemann, Ruben Blades as Diego Rivera, and Vanessa Redgrave as a spunky, inperturbable and morally clear-headed aristocrat.
"Perhaps you've mistaken me for a spaniel!".
