Review of Cradle 2 the Grave (2003) by Adam G — 01 Oct 2007
When rap meets kung-fu, it should be wicked, but it certainly isn't in Cradle 2 The Grave. DMX plays a supposedly bad-ass thief named Tony Fait(h.) Oh, he's big into God apparently, which is shown when he and his crew join fists, followed by "faith" chanted in unison.
Weak. You'd think a "master thief" who is pretty hypocritical about his faith would be interesting, but nothing in this movie aspires to be anything more than retarded. The villains all wear crocodile leather suits and spend a lot of time making idle threats when they're on camera.
Even the action was pretty flaccid.
