Review of Cracks (2009) by Satine M — 13 Dec 2009
Firstly little bit fed up with Juno Temple playing the same character in every film ....here she was again in the same role she played in Atonement and Glorious 39. Maybe it's my fault for seeing too many films!
Anyway, that's the rant over (can't moan about cinema goers this time as they were beautifully behaved!).
Such a fantastic film, took me back to Enid Blyton boarding school books at the start - you can only have 5 items on your nightstand etc! It soon turned into something that was anything but an Enid Blyton as the film filled with lies, jealousy, obsession ... everything a good film needs!
LOVED Eva Green, the way she slowly unravelled to reveal her true self, she was a fascinating character to watch and as I left the cinema I found myself wanting to know the ENTIRE back story of Miss G! Really enjoyed the cleverness of her true colours being revealed by Fiamma ... poor Fiamma :(.
Bit of shoddy acting from some of the younger girls, but not complaining aobut that too much as the leads were all really great ... PLEASE do something a bit different though Juno!
