Review of Cracks (2009) by Jack G — 05 Nov 2011
Eva Green getting naked = a full extra half a star (albeit this time not in every other scene of the film, which, why wouldn't you?).
Otherwise, an odd but entertaining mix of trashy girl-pulp and classy British-crumpetty-ness. Did I mention Eva Green is in it? That's usually enough reason for me to see a movie. Thankfully she's a damn good actress too, as she shows here as a mentally combustible teacher who has some dangerous flinging with a quasi-exotic exchange student. That it also works as an ensemble piece for the girls is another plus; it really feels like Masterpiece-Lifetime-movie-theater.
