Review of Cracks (2009) by Cynthia S — 06 Nov 2011
I enjoyed Cracks, a character-driven psychological drama set at a remote English boarding school for girls. There are some rough edges in terms of pacing and tone, which is not so surprising from a first-time director.
The acting is quite good, though. The script gives Eva Green a gift with a wonderful central character, and she plays it to the fullest. The ensemble young actresses that play the students all do a great job as well.
