Great storytelling doesn't need to be complicated, nor give meaning to life, it just needs to entertain. C&A is fun entertainment and full of action without having to resort to cheesy dialogue or overused cliches.
Sure the aliens are a bit complicated for this nit-picker, but I can overlook that and just enjoy the show!
