I'm a sucker for weird cross-genre westerns, and a big fan of Daniel Craig and Adam Beach, so I was definitely going to enjoy this. It proved better than expected, though. Intimidating adversaries, an excellent tone blending classic western and sci-fi conceits with modern filmmaking and storytelling.
The action was exciting, the effects good, the acting well-done, the mixing of motifs and themes felt fresh... What more could one ask for?
