The merging of the western and sci-fi genrés promises a lot but little is delivered in Jon Favreau's effort, settling for time-old conventions and not really doing anything with them. There is an element of fun here, however, with a number of well done action sequences, but chief protagonist Lonegran (an uninspiring Daniel Craig) et al.
aren't likable enough for us to care about what happens to them.
