Pleasantly more cowboy than alien, however lacking in anything that we could remotely call grit. The unseasonable New Mexico landscape was far too green to film anything but a Lassie movie - never mind a tale of the "hard desert" town of Absolution.
An experienced director might have fared better with this high powered cast and production machine.
