Review of Cowboys & Aliens (2011) by Javan W — 02 Apr 2013
I'm very perplexed as to why this was made. Even more so how they managed to ensnare Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig and even Olivia Wilde. Supporting characters are bland, their stories forced. The stakes never felt that high and truthfully I didn't care all that much about what was to happen to everyone.
Olivia Wilde's character was completely unnecessary, not that she was bad she just didn't add anything except a nice face/body. Harrison Ford's character is cookie cutter, 1 dimensional; the rough and tough dude that also has a soft side to him.
Lastly Daniel Craig's character is a monotone generic cowboy, with a constant blank expression. I did thoroughly enjoy the first 2 minutes, but beyond that, this movie is perfectly forgettable.
