(2011) Cowboys & Aliens.
SCIENCE-FICTION WESTERN.
Anyone going into this film expecting it to be another rendition of "Wild Wild West" will be completely surprised since the purpose of this film being made in the first place was so that it can be labelled as a total opposite. Whatever dismal fun "Wild Wild West" offered to it's audience would not be getting it from this movie at all. At the start of the movie has actor Daniel Craig as a person waking up with an alien bracelet on his right hand who appears to have amnesia, but still with him are the same fighting instincts after a confrontation with 3 trackers/ bounty hunters. He then visits a town so that he can recollect whatever past he may have lost and it was then that we know him as Jake who also happens to be a wanted felon. From then on, the town seems to be over runned by a wealthy cattle rustler and his name is Woodrow Dolarhyde he is played by Harrison Ford, who has of course, a brat of a son, Percy and he is just as unlikable as it's two stars, and then as the movie progresses I found myself sympathizing more with it's co-stars than it's 2 leading men since they appear to be self absorbed and sometimes inhuman, for they eventually change for the better as movies can do that. And as a result of working together each othe characters change for the greater good ironically just as a result of clashing against the so-called aliens. None of the characters are easily rooted for since they're were originally bad men anyway, except it's co-stars who a percentage of them are eventually then killed off.
2 out of 4 stars.
