You would have thought someone would have come up with the idea before, but alas they hadnt, movies where aliens invade, are usually set in the now, or the future, so why couldnt they invade the wild west?....
As a movie though, its watchable, but given the quality of the actors, and even producers, ( Steven Spielberg / Ron Howard ), it is far from a spectacular piece of work. Having said that, I enjoyed it, and will watch it again.....
