Review of Cowboys & Aliens (2011) by Rand L — 21 Sep 2013
Much better than its detractors suggest. Yes, there are anachronisms; and yes, there are stereotypes; and yes, the racism is soft pedaled, etc. etc. But the special effects, though brutal, rock; the acting of most of the principals (the female lead excluded) works; the action keeps you interested; and there are some touching moments.
Lighten up, people! It's an SF spoof of cowboy films, not Thus Spake Zarathustra!
