It's a pretty straight-laced documentary about a pretty odd guy who brings American bachelors down to Mexico to find wives. In some cases it works, and in some cases it doesn't. Thompson himself has been married a number of times (never a good sign in a matchmaker)--he can be chauvenistic and corny at times, but he's so earnest that it's hard not to like him.
