This is a film ment to be watched by everybody, even non-fathers. Yes, the secular world only sees lights on a screen, but if you look deeper there's a message that is DEFINITELY needed to be heard.
Acting? It depended on the character. Effects? It depends on what kind you like. The story line? It'll make you laugh, CRY (definitely), and think about what you're doing. There are times when it'll make you think it's over or going to end, but it continues.
Putting short attention spans aside, if you push through to the end, I don't believe you'll regret it. Trust God, he'll see you through.
