Review of Courageous (2011) by Leslie B — 23 Jan 2012
I am trying to understand how you say this film is worthless to anyone that doesnt subscribe to its dogmatic agenda. Take out the obvious Christian themes and let us just look at the cold hard facts. The statistics that are quoted throughout this film regarding a fatherless nation and what that has done to our country are on point.
We live in a time where being a parent is an option. Where walking away from family and responsibility is a cowards right. We have left the raising of our children to society and we then wonder why things are as they are.
What this film does do it call men of ANY faith, men of no faith, to rise up and be men. To raise their own and when they have the opportunity to reach out and impact the life of a child with no father to speak of, it asks that he rise to the occassion and make a difference.
How is that worthless?????????????????????
