Review of Courageous (2011) by Tim S — 04 Jun 2012
While it may not carry the varnish and shine of artificially prepared movies that so often have little to do with real life, this is a great movie for anyone, especially those who are fathers. Stoic critics may call it dogmatic, but committing oneself to effective, loving, courageous parenthood has no grey area, regardless of your personal faith.
It was a pleasure to watch, a much needed call to action for any true adult that cares about the younger generation being shaped daily by the world around them. It was not a Francis Ford Coppola endeavor, but when was the last time that even Coppola changed your life and caused you to want to become a better man? Courageous brings you to the point of decision for your life.
Just as with any other decision, what you choose to do with it is up to you.
