Hallelujah! A religious film that ISN'T a steaming pile of shit! This film was actually pretty good and seemed to be made by, dare I say, competent people. Unlike shitty religious films like Left Behind (Seriously, fuck that film), Courageous is a great film that has an interesting story, religious themes that are generally presented well, solid acting despite some corny moments, genuine heartfelt moments, and even some funny humor.
The film isn't perfect however, since it can be corny at times when it shouldn't be. Be that as it may, this is easily one of the best religious films I've ever seen. Finally! It's about damn time someone actually made a good religious film because there aren't very many good ones.
