Review of Couples Retreat (2009) by Dakota G — 03 Mar 2011
It's kinda sad when the funniest character in this movie (Ken Jeong) only appears for about ten minutes overall. Couple's Retreat does not put the word 'treat' in retreat, as the most appetizing thing about this movie is seeing hot, almost nude women near the end of the movie dancing their pathetic, cardboard lives away with the rest of the movie.
I'm so picky about this movie, that even the scene with the Guitar Hero battle aginst Vaughn's character and the owner of the island, I liked to point out that the song 'Lonely is the Night' is not in Guitar Hero: World Tour, which is the obvious game they were playing, but actually on Guitar Hero 5.
This movie makes a vacation to an island resort with a group of people who aren't likable one bit seem like a nice bite on the butt from a razor toothed shark. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see Vince Vaughn at his worst.
