Review of Countryman (1982) by Jared H — 30 Mar 2008
It was a very interesting film. The plot is very hard to follow. I believe that is because of the dialect of Jamaica and probably a few gaps in plots.
As far as the depiction of the culture of Jamaica and Rastas it is a good representation. There are hardly any trained actors so most people are playing themselves.
The Soundtrack is amazing tho sometimes it seems to clash with what you just saw happen.
Overall enjoyable just not a masterpiece.
