Review of Country Strong (2010) by Sally Z — 16 May 2011

I really don't know what to say. I liked it but at the same time I didn't like it. The writing was really lame, but the songs were the exact opposite. The songs & performances are pretty much the only decent things about this movie.

I like Paltrow in it, she is a really good singer. Tim McGraw really proves that he's a great actor, Garrett Hedlund stole the show ... Leighton Meester .. was just there. Also, that ending! Seriously!? It pissed me off that I had set through the whole thing; the ending was like a slap in the face.

Just get the soundtrack, no need to watch the movie.
