Review of Country Strong (2010) by Scott S — 06 Jun 2011

I was not all that interested in seeing this movie, but I am glad I did. This is a fairly deep, complicated movie, with good acting and singing performances. Tim McGraw and Gwyneth Paltrow were very good in their respective roles, and I was pleasantly surprised by Garrett Hedlund.

A+ to the writers and directors for telling a story that grabs you from the beginning and keeps pulling you in. My only complaint is that the Bo/Chiles love story seemed a little too contrived, a little too fast, a little too implausible.

I highly recommend seeing this movie.
