Review of Country Strong (2010) by Ho-Seop K — 05 Aug 2011
Going in, I knew the movie wouldn't be very good. I guess I was intrigued how mrs. Chris Martin would turn out as I was actually impressed with her singing voice.
Wow, bad. Just bad. Gwyneth Paltrow looks... out of place. She doesn't even try to put on accent. :^( Even worse, the actor who played Beau has zero presence, helping the ship sink even faster. The other Gossip Girl actress was better though. She somehow reminded me of Minka Kelly from Friday Night Lights, which then made me think Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins of FNL) might have saved the show.
All in all, FAIL. A big FAIL.
