This would have been a much better story if it had focussed on the up-and-comers and their experiences breaking into the big time rather than on Gwyneth Paltrow's predictable trainwreck of a character.
Tim McGraw plays a Southern-friend Mephistopheles well, though, and without pressing the issue.
