I wasn't impressed with the story and screenplay of Country Strong as much as I was with the songs and the performance of the cast. Inconsistent, cliched and perplexing, it lacks the character development it needs to be effective.
It left me only to raise an eyebrow and shrug my shoulders as the movie ends.
