Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Angie B — 13 Jan 2013
Masterfully filmed, it tells the story of day in a life of a young, uber-rich Wall Street type as his life falls apart with the passing of the day against the backdrop of a popular uprising in New York City.
The futuristic interior of a stretch limo where the majority of the film takes places looks very cool, but the film tries too hard to be cerebral and meditative. The pseudo intellectual dialogue (with lines like, 'my testicles are asymmetrical, what does it mean?) falls flat against the almost non-existing storyline.
