Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Liam C — 22 Oct 2012
As it turns out, the trailer for Cosmopolis is quite misleading. The film is adapted from the famed novel by Don DeLillo, but Cronenberg somehow intends to make it as UN-cinematic, unimaginative, dull, and pretentious as possible.
All the vacant performances and endless pedantic dialogues are excruciatingly boring, and 30 minutes in, you'd basically stop caring about whatever economic/ social mumbo jumbo they're spouting out.
The film is not for everyone, certainly not for me.
